"I Don't Think I'll Ever Forget This Performance ..." Chinese New Year Spectacular Touches Hearts of Tens of Thousands
New York City, NY (PRWeb) February 22, 2007 -- NTDTV's Chinese New Year Spectacular ( http://shows.ntdtv.com ) concluded a successful seven-performance 2007 run at Radio City on Saturday, the evening of February 17 to a full house and warm, positive feelings all around, setting the Chinese New Year of the Boar off to an auspicious start.
Academy Award-winning veteran actress Patricia Neal was among those in the audience on Saturday. Ms. Neal gushed: "I adored it! It was really a fabulous evening. I loved everything from beginning to end… It was an astonishing show!"
Prominent businessman Mr. Lester Cohen went to Radio City thinking it would just be a few hours of general entertainment but was pleasantly surprised by the more philosophical aspects of the show. "It was so inspiring. Most impressive were the words about goodness, about the spirit of life, about truth. That was important to me." He mentioned a refrain in a song by Bai Xue that when adversity arrives, it favors neither the wealthy nor the poor. "I don't think I'll ever forget this performance because of this special message. It covered what life is all about."
Rose Billings, a governor of the National Arts Club in Gramercy says she wishes the whole world could see this show. "There's charm, elegance, beauty… It's like a birthday cake for everybody. Everybody could celebrate, and instead of fighting with each other, we could have peace and beauty." Ms. Billings not only attended the Spectacular but also Holiday Wonders at the Beacon Theatre in December, but says she can't get enough of it: "I love this show!"
NTDTV also broadcast a version of the show on its
satellite network Feb. 17 - 18 for Chinese New Year across the world and into Mainland China. The Spectacular will continue on to more than 15 more cities on a world tour. Next stop is Atlanta on Feb. 20 and it will later travel to Paris, Berlin, Australia, and Japan. See http://ticket.ntdtv.com for upcoming events.
The producers of the show are grateful for such a positive response from the audience and would like to thank everyone who made it possible -- from the staff of Radio City Music Hall, to all the volunteers who worked long hours, to all the supporters who have helped NTDTV overcome so many hurdles over the past year. Special thanks to our colleagues in the media. NTDTV is proud to have brought something beautiful and uplifting to the people of New York this cold winter season and wishes everyone a happy and prosperous new year!
